As autumn’s golden light settles over Sedona, Gallery of Modern Masters, one of Sedona’s most established and respected fine art galleries — presents Vessels of Light, a November exhibition celebrating transformation, emotion, and the universal language of art across cultures.

The show introduces new international artist Théo Schildkamp from the Netherlands, whose powerful painting “No. 454” embodies the raw, vulnerable beauty of change. Created in response to the loss of someone deeply loved, the woman in the painting becomes the sunset, a symbol of farewell, while the lone kingfisher signifies the spirit’s endurance and transcendence. The title itself, No. 454, draws from the angel number associated with healing and rediscovery after loss, reminding us that even through grief, we are guided by unseen light.

In harmony with Schildkamp’s emotional depth, the exhibition also highlights the radiant Graal Series, which he called “Metamorphosis” by world-renowned Dutch glass artist Peter Bremers, a long-time exhibiting artist with Gallery of Modern Masters. The gallery is honored to be the only gallery in the world to showcase this celebrated series, in which Bremers fuses multiple layers of molten glass to form vessels that seem to glow from within. The Graal , meaning “Grail”, symbolizes the sacred vessel of spirit and illumination.

Together, Schildkamp and Bremers reveal that the human heart itself is a vessel, one capable of holding both sorrow and light. Through transparency, color, and allegory, these international masters invite viewers to reflect, renew, and embrace the quiet grace of the season — an ethereal harvest of gratitude and transformation.
