Our Mission
Zolang ik me kan herinneren heb ik getekend en geschilderd. Dus heb ik er mijn vak van gemaakt. Of beter gezegd, mijn leven. Na de kunstacademie een bloeiende praktijk als illustrator en ontwerper, eerst midden in de Twentse natuur, later vanuit mijn studio in de Provence. Twintig jaar Zuid-Frankrijk!
Our Mission
Nu weer terug in Nederland, maar de zuidelijke zon, het licht en de ‘joie de vivre’ hebben me heel goed gedaan. Sinds enige jaren heb ik het roer omgegooid en een punt gezet achter mijn commerciële werk. Nu zijn het alleen nog maar schilderijen die ik maak. Mooie schilderijen, want ik houd van schoonheid en harmonie. Maar er is altijd wel iets vreemds in wat ik schilder. Een vrouw die met een antilope aan de wandel gaat, dat is immers niet helemaal normaal. Wat is er gebeurd? Wat gaat er gebeuren? Eigenlijk ben ik gewoon illustrator gebleven. Alleen zijn mijn schilderijen nu illustraties bij een verhaal dat je zelf mag verzinnen.

After fifteen years with a successful New York advertising agency, in 2017, Shanin Renee took a bold move to follow a passion—she began a career in the art community of Sedona and she has never looked back. Shanin thrives in everything art (the business side, that is). From gallery management and curation to marketing and representation, she is now a force in the art world in the Southwest US; however, she remains most proud being the exclusive representative of Dutch artist Théo Schildkamp.

Shanin Renee holds a bachelor’s degree in cultural anthropology from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff and a master’s certificate in ecopsychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute in Santa Barbara, California.
